  Tory Lanez has been charged with assault, three months after an argument between the rapper and Megan Thee Stallion resulted in the latter in hospital after reports said Lanez allegedly shot her. According to the Los Angeles District Attorney's office, Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, was charged on Thursday (Oct. 8) with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm – personal use of a firearm – and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. He also faces a gun allegation and that he personally inflicted great bodily injury. On July 12, the two rappers got into an argument while riding in an SUV in the Hollywood Hills.
